The best thing is finding out where they are coming in. Mice can fit in a hole the size of a dime. supply lines (i.e. gas,furnace)above basement sill plates are the most common areas. Attached garages can be a problem also. Traps on either side of these supply lines can direct you and give you an idea where they are coming in.
