christmas eve walk with hubby, 1.5 miles, 30 minutes.

it was back up to 45 degrees today, nice and warm. a dreary misty day all day, but warm, so who cares, the sun will be back in a few days. then it will turn very cold and more snow. it snowed here a few days ago and for two days we had everything white and snow covered, but then yesterday and today it was so warm, all the snow is gone again, but that's ok, it'll be back before we know it, and then to stay for the next few months, so not rushing anything.

on our walk, a new little dog and a bigger old yellow lab, we had never seen before, were out in a yard (they just moved in a few months ago). the little one ran to greet us. a car was coming and we were on the other side of the road. i stepped into the road and put out my hand for the car to stop, but they didn't even slow down, just moved over to the other side, even closer to the little dog. i was so nervous, but he didn't enter the road til after the car passed. then kept following us and jumping up to greet us. he was so friendly, i could've taken him home. anyway, we finally had to go up to the house and have his owners let him back in so he wouldn't end up hit by a car. we emphasized to the owner how he was almost hit; the owner thanked up, but didn't seem particularly alarmed. i hope they get one of the invisible fences soon. he was way to cute for anything bad to happen to him. what a cutie, so very friendly.
