Just saw my surgeon again yesterday and he thinks I'm sufficiently disabled to bump me up the wait list so it looks as though my surgery will be within 3 months.
On the down side, I had my shoulders, knees, and ankles x-rayed because of the serious damage to my hips in such a short time. My ankles are fine; my knees show joint space narrowing, cysts and bone spurs, but my shoulders are very bad and the right one appears to also have a badly torn rotator cuff.
So it looks like I'll be having and ultrasound on that shoulder and then seeing a different specialist about a repair. The hip surgeon is concerned about the challenges I will face using a walker after hip surgery if my shoulder is still this bad.
I feel like my whole body is falling apart.
I finally get to see a new rheumatologist next week (the fourth) and hopefully this one will take me more seriously now!
