Got this letter from the SAA with a funding request. Found it interesting.
Quote " SAA is funding a pilot program exploring the relationship between the microbiome and HLA-B27. This study is looking at the hypothesis that one's HLA type affects which bacteria are present in the gut and the shaping of the immune system by bacteria in turn affects the likelihood of developing ankylosing Spondylitis. The results will have immediate implications for understanding the cause of AS. This understanding could possible lead to a strategy to prevent the disease in the future."
Very interesting line of study and I am cutting them a check tonight.
Add in pieces like this now coming out.
