erica,

i used to love breast stroke, but that frog kick always irritated my SI joint, so just be aware of that possibility. maybe it won't bother yours; mine is my achilles heel.

i've been thinking lately that i need to up the yoga and maybe add the band exercises back in (after this august flare) for the same reasons you discuss Erica....lately i hurt myself doing the simplest things...hurt my elbow this week brushing my hair (but not too bad, so its already settled back down)....today i noticed the front of my shoulder enthesis was really irritated; not sure what i did there....also wondering if i focus a bit more on the inner core strengthening, if my SI joint will be so cranky, as it seems anymore....

thinking along the same lines as you are Erica smile

Yes! Walking while shopping is still walking! cheerleader

Sue, I've been making a point to move around gently throughout the day.

It seems that the "remission" I'm in is not complete, but I'll take it. My joints aren't constantly aggravated, and I'm enjoying that as long as it lasts! Still have the sick feeling, but only 1/4 of what it was this time last year.

That "gentle" yoga video I posted hurt my shoulders. So I found another gentler one. I also like Qi Gong for gentle movement when my feet aren't aggravated.

Here's a REAL restorative yoga video:

Yesterday I walked to the pool and swam 1/2 mile. It's nice to be able to walk on my feet these days. I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts.

I've taken over the lawn mowing duties for the household, and that's been fun. It' kind hurts my mid back, but I'm going ot keep at it to see if I can build up those muscles.

Go TEAM! clap
