Beloved,
My beautiful wife of 47 years died this morning.
She was beautiful until they came to take her body away.
I was with her and had just read some of what King David wrote 3,000 years ago about life and living and death and peace. She stirred a bit, I cleaned her mouth, wiped her face, kissed her cheek and two huge tears poured out her eyes. In a bit she moaned, her tummy boiled and her lungs gave one last heave.
She was one tough cookie but so loving with those that needed a helping hand, encouragement, or to borrow some strength to confront a heavy problem. Years ago, when young wives would come to our home because their husbands were, neglecting or even abusing them; Linda would get in the husbands face and tell them to knock it off.
This group here at KA, sent her recovery wishes after her open heart surgery!!!
I am a blessed man, God gave me a stronger woman than most men would want. But I needed her!
