Hi Simon Paul,
Yes, raw veggies or eating to heal and not for recreation helps.
I wanted to share another resource, a book called Goodbye Lupus and Goodbye Autoimmune Disease by Dr. Brooke Goldner. She has a six week disease reversal program, in which you follow the six stops below:
1. No animal products
2. No oils NONE
3. No proccessed food,
4. Drink at least 100 oz of water a day
5.Eat a green smoothie which consists of 75% green in your blender and 25 % frozen fruit and add water to the top of the greens then blend. Add 1/4 chia or flax seed to green smoothie and drink the whole blender full throughout the day
She calls it hyper nourish...... Eating to Heal not eating for fun

Oh and don't self sabotage...some folks eat a cookie at the end of
the day and she asks them why are they hurting themselves. They sometimes say they don't remember how it was to be well and people will ask a lot from them if they get well and so forth. So there is a lot about the mental part of being sick too included in the book.

Diet change has improved my RA. I feel best eating raw veggies and some fruits and avoiding grains, sugars, nightshades, beans and dairy. Sed rate dropped from 65 to 19, but it took over a year.
