This is fun!
I chose Jade as a nickname because it is such a beautiful name...because Aerosmith made such a beautiful song with that title....and most of all because jade gives the impression to be cool and smooth and soft and everything I would like my backpain to be!

My name isn't as interesting as others. But my niece started calling me it when she started talking. She would get mad at anyone that used my real name. So everyone started calling me wallwe esp. if they didn't want a lecture from a little person about my name (she was and still is very bossy). She is nine now but still calls me by wallwe
which is fine with me.

Brings up an interesting point... My two favorite college teams have always been Penn State and whoever is playing Notre Dame... Goes back to when I coached midget football at St Petes and had to hear about good old Notre Dame again and again and again... Mike

Wow Pete! I forgot about that picture. Those turn outs I had on were about 5 sizes too big for me. As for you CHRIS, that was a controlled burn so the house was supposed to be burning down!  The picture of myself was taken because everyone thought I looked so funny in those huge turn-outs. Let me tell you, my buns were on fire! That was one hot blaze. There were actually 2 more structures over to the left of me that were burning down also. That was one HOT day in July! Thanks for the memory Pete and Gladstones definitely! I'll be in your area next week. I'll call you and come visit. By the way Pete..or should I say GRANDPA? CONGRATULATIONS!! I was hoping you would mention the birth of your new grandaughter Willow. I was getting ready to if you didn't soon! Any pictures of her yet? WillowMac...now there is a nickname for her! Sounds like a sandwich from McD's! Thanks so much for posting the picture of the cradle. If I remember correctly it is called (spelling will be wrong, I think) "Mema's hands and Papa's heart." You guys have no idea the talent of this woodcarver!
