Hi HQ, so sorry to hear of your problems. Last I remember you were having heart problems. Was the stroke related to that? Sounds like you're taking the first steps towards recovery on several issues. Remember...the first steps are always the hardest. You are amazing!

Sorry to hear the amazingly tough times you are going through. FOrget the lousy stuff and work the good stuff. NOt much you can do to change the fact that the soon to be ex is a creep.

I always found that when I felt the world crashing in down around me that I could devote my energy in enormous doses to my health. Gave me back a feeling of some control in my life. SOunds like you're starting on that road with the stepping.

If of course the above suggestion can't keep your mind off your other problems. A little daydreaming doesn't hurt either. Bruno can send you a postcard with 41 different designs of human pretzel that he can tie your ex into. (His favorite pretzels of course are salted and a nick here or a nick there on the human pretzel with some strategically placed salt never hurts either--- well strike that, salt on the open wound never hurts thing. It always hurts) Even if you would never do such a heinous thing the daydream of doing it is quite refreshing. At least that's what Bruno tells me.

Lisa, honey, I'm so sorry your ex is being such an as*. God people can be selfish sometimes!!

Say, do you remember if you had your crystal and jewellry itemized for insurance purposes? That might help you get some of it back.

Thanks for the encouragement! It is not easy! I didn't realize how my life had been before these strokes. I am trying to gain more strength everyday to get things in better order.

I wish that I can do more here at KA than just post about my life. I don't have my own computer yet, ex got all of them. I am having to use my parents computers...when my eyes are not giving me too much trouble.

I am still trying to learn or remember the whole story. It feels odd to suddenly be here but not know or remember things. Thank you so much for the encouragement!

Thank you so much for the thoughts and prayers! I happily accept all! I thought I had been through some tough things in my life but all of this happening at once has been the biggest.

This group has always been great with support and that is what made me return. I hope to be helpful and supportive to others.
