True, nothing I can do but wait and depend of the Lord.
I don't feel well. Extreme foot and ankle pain and back pain and flank pain and wrist pain and...........you get the message. LOL Lortabs aren't doing it but I weaned off the MSContin. Probably not a smart thing to do but ever so often I come off to see what is really going on. Why I might be better and never know it. )

Thank you all for caring.

Joyce, your wit cracks me up-you may actually inspire me to go off the Naproxen for a while-gotta wait until this 3 month flare eases up first, though... Love you...

Oh Possi can I relate. You know that wrist pain is the worse because like I never know when I pick up something when cooking or whatever, when it will hurt. Know what you go through. I came out of the hospital yesterday from my sacral x-rays and put the key in the ignition of the car to go and it hurt so bad I yelled. Then it was over. But when I first had my ANA's go really high, at least I think they were, 1:256, and all the inflammation going on putting my white cells crazy, it was my wrist that hurt constantly. I'd rather of had a baby than that pain with nothing to show for it. All I could do is moan and cry. I'm thinking of you and will be glad when you can get this problem better evalutated. Yeah, if a med. isn't working for you then you need to be on something else. Why take it? I also have come off med's to test how I'm doing. hmmmm.

Oh that wrist pain. Yikes. I am almost afraid to pick up anything heavy that's hot. That and my index finger. It looks awful and feels worse. Guess that one deserved a smiley face. I go around holding that pointer finger out. Hubby says someday it is going to just be pointing at the sky. Today is such a painful day for the both of us. He has Lidocaine patches everywhere and I broke out the Morphine. We are quite a pair to draw to but at least we understand each other.

What tests are you having done? My kidney tests are still about 10 days away.

Like to hear from you.

Well I don't know what test will be next but as I posted my last test came back showing ulcers and bleeding ones. Just something else to keep me from getting help.
Best Wishes Possi.

I did the bleeding ulcer thing some years back all from Naprosyn. I am so sorry you are having to deal with this. I also had vasculitis in my intestines that caused bleeding for about a year. Everything is under control now. I hope you can say that very soon.

Blessings.

Possi,

I havent been around in some time, and just saw your post on the protein issue.

I dump a TON of protein. April of last year here are my results:

Protein, TOTAL, 24 Hour
Urine (w/creatinine)
Creatinine, 24 hour urine 2.55_____should be: 0.63-2.5 G/24 Hrs
Protein, Total, 24 hour 918 _____should be: <=84 MG/G creat
Protein, total 24 2340_____should be: <150 mg/24 hr

As you can see my total protein is 2340....extremely high. That number is down from 3600 6 months earlier

I had complete kidney failure back in 1997, and the seem to have come back ok a short time later. A few years ago I had one kidney removed due to it not working at all and when they took it out they said it looked nothing like a kidney.

The protein loss now is most likely from the inability to control my blood pressure, and from my diabetes. Both put a large strain on the kidneys.

As for why you are losing protein, I have no idea. The specialist for me wanted to do a biopsy to see why, but didnt dare with only one kidney. They have medications that can slow the process if they can do the biopsy to see what is causing it.

The good news is my creatinine and BUN numbers are right on the mark meaning the kidney is doing its job filtering.

send me an email if you want to ask questions etc. bob2 AT myorca.com

Bob

Thank you so much Bob. I will be emailing you. I go back to the dr. tomorrow for blood work and the container? to do the 25 hour catch. I have a real decrease in output and I am having a lot of flank pain; worse on the right side. Did you have pain?

They are thinking that my problem is Lupus attacking the kidneys. Whatever it is, I don't like it!

I will be in touch.

So Grateful,
Possi

Hi Possi,

I had flank pain when I had stones in the right kidney, and the output was limited as well. They did a procedure where they put me in a tank of water and blasted the stones with ultrasound waves.

It wasnt till a few years later that the right kidney failed, but the failure was not due to the stones, but probably due to the total failure in 97.

Yes, please do email me I am more than willing to answer what I can.

Hope it is all as simple as stones. Will they be doing an IVP test to see if there is a blockage? (painless)

Bob
