If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Think less of you because you suffer with depression? No Way! If that were the way people around here felt we would all hate each other. Depression is only one piece that we all try to fit into our puzzle.

Thanks Pete, I truely am going through some rough patches, had to swallow a big dose of pride lately, and I try not to bring it to the board, but I must say the unconditional support here makes the tough road a little softer. Cindy

Oh Cindy!
I guess I am going to have to resort to the hammer!
The Dr. gave me Flexiril 20mg a night & Lunesta 3mg a night and guess who is still awake 3 hours later........ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
I am so tired of this...he said if this didn't work we would try Halcion or something else.
I really think I have been on so many meds for so long that I am resistant to alot of things.
You didn't here me say this...lol but every once in awhile when I have had to give Bill a pain pill like when he fractured his hand I just happened to give him one when we went to see Pirates of the Carribean....well guess who was sleeping and snoring thru most of it???
He can take something and it will knock him out for a day because he never takes meds.
Oh well I can always wish for sleep...lol

Eric does not sleep well either. He is only 16 though, so his doctor will not prescribe him anything. The nurse however told me to try Melatonin. It is an over the counter drug that helps your natural malatonin along..... I picked it up at CVS, and he states that he has not had such a good nights sleep in years. He has always been one to get up at night and creep around. He sleeps through the night now, and is not groggy in the morning. If you decide to give it a try, I hope that it works for you. If it has already been suggested, sorry...I didnt read all the post. Either way. I hope that you get some sleep.

((Cindy)) When you get it figured out, put out a HUGE post! It sounds like there are a lot of us "up in the middle of the nighters". My leg/hip pain has had me up most of the time for 7-8 weeks now. Today it hurts so bad. I walked on it (with the cane) yesterday and I shouldn't have. Should have taken the chariot. I learned the hard way. It hurt so bad last night. I wrestled the bed until about 2:00 and then moved in here to the computer room and went to sleep in the recliner. Then the dog needed out at 4:30 and then the alarm went off at 5:55. What a night. And I haven't been able to rest today. I need some sleep too! Wish we lived closer and we would just visit all night. How are you doing? How is the healing process? I think of you every day. You are an inspiration to me. Also, I think of the move and I wish we were close enough to help you. I hope you will do what we "finally" did. I finally coaxed hubby into hiring it all done. It was not that much more expense and probably less that the added dr. bills would have been. Take care dear friend. Possi

Oh Lisa, I know what that feels like. It's so frustrating. You lay there and celebrate to yourself, Yeah I'm falling asleep, only to find you are back looking at the clock a couple hours later. Hang in there. Cindy

Hey Possi I think we should start a middle of the night club Actually, I have been sleeping several nights a week, it has been a blessing when sleep comes and actually stays. What have you found out about that leg? Please use the cane on strong days but not too much, that's what the chariot is for. I finally went out and ordered a new cane today . You would have thought I was a kid on Christmas morning when I found it . I haven't been using my cane all the time because it hurts my hand and wrist. I kept saying, there has to be a hand friendly cane out there for people with arthritis. I meen really, are canes used by healthy, strong people? Well I found the anitomical grip cane today, what a difference. I will be much more likely to use it than making excuses like I do now for not using one. I have never thought of myself as an inspiration to anyone but that is the biggest compliment anyone has ever payed me. I too, think of you everyday and wonder how you are doing and would love to learn you secret to humor when most of us would give up. It's quite a blessing to have you friend, even if it is only in cyber space. The healing from the surgery is over, but still no better as far as the buckeling. But if we hadn't done the surgery over again, we would never have known if it was the prothesis. So much for answers, sometimes there simply are none. Cindy

Ativan works well for me. Doctors don't like giving me anything because of my Severe obstructed sleep Apnea. 2 mgs of Ativan and I am gone for the night. I wish GP would give me a refill. I was also up last night two or 3 times. 3:30 am finally I had enough fighting for sleep, so I got up and played cards on my computer. It is no wonder I am so exhausted throughout the day. I find taking my calcium at nights helps with my sleeping. I don't honestly know why it helps, but it does. I take a hot bath when I have too much pain, and also use a heating pad. Once the pain settles I am usually able to get another couple hours of sleep. Gerri
