I went thru the misery of prostatitis quite awhile ago now, and haven't been bothered since. Sorry to hear you're dealing with that miserable ailment. I Had the burning pain where you just want to run to the bathroom all the time etc. I was given a med (can't remember the name) that turns the urine orange and helps to stop the pain. Certain foods and drink will cause bad flare ups with prostatitis. Alcohol is very bad for prostatitis..also had a real bad attack after I drank some lemonade once...never forgot that eye opening experience..also spicey foods can (and will) trigger a prostatitis attack... and its a good idea to drink plenty of water every day. Thats about the best advice I can think of off hand.
Good luck and hang in there!..it gets better, but it can take awhile sometimes..very warm baths help if you are having alot of pain.
