HI all Im sorry i've not been here and thank you to those who supported me in my last post. Very special thank you to Zaida for going to the trouble of such a lovely post, it meant a lot.

Harris was rushed to hospital on early hours sunday morning with acute respiratory failure, he got out late last night after not needing oxygen, he is full of Prednisnalone and sulbutamol, and I'll be weaning him off them over the coming days, but what a scary time. They cant diagnose asthama in the under 2s and it was the result of a viral infection that him and i both had, and i must admit i felt terrible with it. So no wonder he was so ill. And I have never been so scared in my life, i thought i was going to lose him!

But if you believe in pray please ask for him. I so don't want my baby to be this ill, I feel so guilty if I've passed on the "dicky gene" to him, although i don't have a true Asthma, i occasionally need a pulvent because of my very decreased chest expansion. And my Husband has a seasonal type Asthma, i think he's worse in Autum with all the tree spore etc, of course we stay in a forrest!!!

I just wanted to let you know where i disappreared to again, and assure you it is not a one sided friendship. This place is my safe haven durin lonely times.

Big hugs to you all Laura xx

Oh Laura, how scary! There is nothing worse than standing by a little one when he is really sick.

I'm praying for him.

Laura,

I am so sorry to hear about baby Harris...

All of us parents know how frightening it is when one of our babies (big or little) is sick.

You quit feeling like you are guilty of passing anything to him, it is just not true.

I am so glad he is back home, I hate it that he is on the steroids BUT he needs to be on them right now to keep the inflammation in his lungs under control.

Do not worry that you don't check in alot, you are trying to enjoy your baby as you should be, the good thing is that you DO know that we are all here if and when you need us.

I will keep baby Harris and you and the family in my prayers that he will heal and make a speedy recovery & remember little ones have a wonderful way of bouncing back quickly, he will be up and playing in no time.

Hugs,

Lisa

Laura,

I do n't like the little ones being ill. So I wish him better and soon.

I hope mum and dad get over this as it can be frightening as well.

Hi Karen

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers they seem to be working!!

Harris was at the Docs this morning and his lungs now seem clear! so thats a huge relief, and I can cut down on his meds from today also which is great because he looked at me as if I was posioning him.

Big Hugs and thanks Laurax

Hi Lisa

Thanks for being there yet again,he is picking up well now and running arround again, I was just telling Possi that he is practising his Halloween "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH" at the moment will a big white towel over his head giggling away to himself, its really cute.

He is also very affectionate and wants his Mum a lot but not clinging just wanting me to kind of "hang out" with him so thats nice, so at least I'm forgiving for forcing these drugs down his throat.

Love ya x

Laura

Hi Laura,

I can't believe what I'am reading with all that have been going with your little boy, but anyway glad to see that he is already improving. I don't have babies, but have the most beautiful niece in the World, she is called Ana Sofia, and I understand you, since when she was 6 months we need to go rush with her to the hospital with something like that, that at the end was something called Kawasaki & RSV, believe be me we don't want to remember those days. Today she has 5 year and is completely ok, with no major damage from the disease.

Thanks for your words, and let me told you on Saturday in PR the Humira people (Abbott), celebrate the 1st Humira Puerto Rico users meeting, it was very interesting, a rheuma Dr. give us some information, and I get to know some other users, that are much more better and without any pain, just like that. When I have more information I will keep you posted.

Like I told you I am glad that your baby boy still improving I will pray for him so he could start playing again.

Zaida
