If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I seem to have it the worst in cold weather. Last winter the dry skin and rashes were driving me nuts. This winter it has been tolerable so far. David

I've been suffering from all kinds of rashes and eczemas since I was born!
Unfortunately I can't tell whether the soles of my feet and especially my heels are dried or not because the skin has been permanently damaged since I was a baby. This is because I was born premature and the nurses took so many blood tests from my heels that I was horrendously scarred. Luckily my mother noticed and asked them to take the tests from some other place since my feet were looking really terrible. So, they are weird anyway.
I've had so many terrible rashes and for reasons unknown. Last major outbreak was in last year when I got terrible, dry, red rash all over my thighs, backside (I thought that would be appropriate word), legs... It was simply horrible but disappeared gradually. After that I've had weird rash under my arms (no explanation) and recently I noticed some dry, scaly, red patches on my hands. I wonder if there was any relation to me eating some wheat again.. (been eating non-gluten for several months to see if it helps me).
As you all know I have blue fingernails and really cold hands. I've noticed that during really cold weather hands dry up until they seem to crack if you move your fingers.
So, here I am... I'd really like to know what are all these symptoms I have... Doc said that 'oh, so many young women have cold hands' (blue nails too??).. If I sum it up I have all kinds of skin problems, rheumatic problems, allergies and then problems with food (upset stomach). And I'm 23!!! My mom doesn't even take me seriously because 'you can't have anything real bad, you're so young..."

Hang in there Cattie. We've all had mysterious symptoms that were ignored for quite some time. Being young relates to not being sick. Hopefully everything will fall into place.....soon. Susie

Wow, I get yellowy patches on my fingers and around my rings, that turn leathery and then peel....seems to happen during or before a flare...also I get rashes, reddish patches, scaly (yech!), on my back and face, must use a type of cream, I forget what it is now....the doc said it was something else....

hi buggie, I just read an article linking eczema to auto immune diseases. I have dry skin and use lotion by the gallons but no eczema unless I wear rings to work and then I get a reaction. How are you feeling? Still sending all those positive thoughts linda

Hi Angie, I'm just curious about something your doc said. If you use a prednisone CREAM how would that slow down the healing process from surgery? You wouldn't think it could bother an area that isn't near the incision. I could see if you were taking something orally, but a cream shouldn't bother it. You could even at least try it for now until the surgery comes along or something like it. When is your surgery? I get areas on my skin that itches so bad sometimes. Have a spot on the side of my upper ankle that I scratched so hard that it bled and bled. It took a long time to heal and now it's an ugly one and a half inch scar. I'm much more careful now and I use hydracortisone cream whenever and wherever I start to get an itch. Maybe that's something you can try. Hope you find relief. Good luck also with your SSD...Hope my response to your PM's was of some help. Keep me posted ok Hugs, Lisa

Here is something I have tried that has worked really well. I got patches of dry skin on my legs, no matter what I used as far as body wash/lotion. It was terrible! I would try not to itch during the day but I itched in my sleep... it became a very nasty sight! I tried Aveeno body wash/lotion per my aesthetician's suggestion --- and my dry skin is a thing of the past! It's made with oatmeal. Definitely try this out if you have dry skin, it's the only thing that worked for me! ******** Kristin
