Possi recently apologized for posting her heart out. She and everyone else must know...that is the whole point of this site. Getting the support of others by letting it out. Never be sorry for posting again. If anyone thinks otherwise, they don't have to read it, do they. So....just as I replied to her: POST,POST AND POST! Your heart out!

Thank you KalamityK. I know I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place...when I read the boards a lot and take time to post my dearest husband worries that I'm not being healthy-minded and perhaps obsessing over things. Then he worries about me even more...and, well, you get the idea. So then when I have a question or need to vent I feel guilty that I miss so much of what goes on here. Nonetheless...I *never* mind reading a vent, and my heart always goes out to the person. I'm sure others feel the same...vent away and/or post any who need it! :-)

thanks for stating this, i know some feel shy about posting, but they shouldn't, that's what this site is for and with so many people, someone's bound to be able to relate and say just the right thing.

I fully agree!

Sometimes just typing it all out helps the situation. I know I have made some long rambling vents on here and felt later "I wonder if any of that made any sense to anyone?"
But I have never had anyone be anything but supportive when I needed to vent and let it all out.

Dear, wonderful people here have gotten me through some of the darkest days of my life. And have been here to cheer me on when I needed that as well.

There is so much understanding of each other here. When I posted a few years ago how proud and excited I was about being able to jump off a rock into the water, and how good that made me feel at the time, everyone who replied understood what that meant to someone with AS.
If I had talked to anyone else about those feelings they probably would have looked at me like I was crazy and said something like "yeah.. so what? It was only about 4-6 feet off the water, a child could have done it"

As the wonderful brother Lon says..... "I love this place!!"

Have a great day

Pam

I agree with you. I mentioned this to Possi in another post. So if your reading keep posting. This is my first and only forum I have been on. I too feel safe here. My family knows I come here often. They know that I feel more comfortable here than with them sometimes. My youngest teases me, in good humor. But when I am down he'll be the first to tell me to come on and see whats going on. I think those of us who have this, in many ways it is our second family. We need the support and encouragement we get here.

And Possi, you have had such a tough time recently. Please keep us up to date. We worry and we care.

I have actually started to post a few times and as reviewed them, all I thought was "quit whining" and ended up deleting them. I find that it can be hard opening yourself up like that even in this environment (all you guys/gals are the best). No matter how much support I have, in the end I have to deal with this disease alone and I find that hard to share. A lot of the complaints I have about dealing with this sound petty when I try to bring them out into the light so they stay hidden. Thanks to this site and all you out there it is getting easier to let go. So I agree, Post away!!!

To Possi. I know sometimes I have to let things out. Even if know one reads it or responds. I hope you are feeling better enough to read these to you and others out there who need to let it all out.

I never dreamed I would come here tonight and reading the posts, find all of the wonderful encouragements. You guys are the greatest.

I had already thought that I just wasn't going to mention my day but........:o)

I went to the Spine Hospital and he asked if I were comfortable with him doing another Rhizotomy and I said "yes" that I thought that was what he would do since I got some relief from the last one. He did 5!!!! plus a bunch of trigger point injections. I may not sleep for a month with the steroids. ) I really hope burning these nerves will help me sit so I can go to FL. He is trying. He did these very low down to try to help more. I have had procedures there now for 4 months in a row. Different things he is trying for pain relief. He said that he would like to not schedule one for April since I have had so many. He thinks I need a break but he told me to call him if I am in a lot of pain and we will do something.

He said this is ongoing procedures since it is pain management. The only thing with the pain management is the Rhizotomy gives me severe pain for a couple of weeks because it bruises so badly. Then though I got to sleep in my bed and cut back my pain meds. Yeah!

Thank you all for your caring support. You truly are more support than my siblings. They never even ask about my trips to the Spine Hospital. Oh well, it wouldn't help anything any way I guess.

I am off to bed. Just wanted to thank you all.

Rest well.
