Beloved,
Lin and I left tuesday morning and got to the nursing home in time to say goodbye to mom. She stirred and said my name softly. We held hands and prayed and I knew that I was releasing her into the hands of her creator.
The next morning at 6:30 she entered into eternity.
My mom, died, better than she had lived for quite some time. Nursing staff came to us and hugged and kissed mom. They were so expressive about meeting her, and many came to the service and visitation. Young mothers from all kinds of backgrounds lost thier adopted mom when she died.
I read and talked about mom for a bit. At the service. We visited and laughed with many of her old friends and family. It was in deed a celebration of her life. My middle daughter and her five red head children came, and wow were they the object of discussion. I swam in the pool read stories, got kisses and helped slay dragons at the park.
Yep, with my wife at my side, god in my heart, I was a blessed man.
We got lots more snow! I did have to take a bunch of pain meds. but thak you all so much for your prayers.
I love this place and you folk. thank you, so much.

Sorry to hear about your loss. but so happy to see that you are in good spirits and that you were able to be with her and your family..

I am so sorry for your loss. But I agree with you. So has peace and her body and spirit again. I am very happy to hear you were able to say good-bye.
2 1/2 yrs ago my died passed unexpectedly. But the weird thing was, a week before he died. We talked, really talked. It was like we both knew something was going to happen. We made complete peace. I know he had some problems when he was alive and he found peace.

Lon, My heart goes out to your and your family at this difficult time. You are right when you say she has gone to a better place, and you can take great pride in the difference she made to peoples lives when she was around. All the best, Emma.

Sorry to read that you Mom has passed . I would love if you shared an anecdote about her here so we could learn a tiney bit about this woman who was so beloved.

Lon,
I am so sorry to hear of your Precious Mothers passing...
It is so hard knowing that she has finally gone to glory and is in no more pain and will be with Jesus for eternity.
Alot of times our selfishness of wanting to keep our loved ones here cloud the fact that they are in a better place now.
When my Mom passed 5 years ago I wasn't sure I could go on, people kept telling me that time heals and it does it just takes alot of it.
Once my Mom was gone I took comfort in the memories from me being a child to her adoring her grandchildren...I still miss her.
There is a song...I can only imagine that has brought me alot of comfort, I am sure you have heard it but I wanted to set this up for you anyway..thought it might help in some small way.
Let us know what we can do for you, I will be keeping you and your family in my htoughts and prayers that you will find comfort in your memories.
