If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

hi all: i saw this on youtube a moment ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhwECwj3LDIi can't believe someone can actually do this to si joint to make it feel better. i'm so tender, just pressing down on si joint is excruciating. anyone try this before? did it help? i'm having so much pain in the left si joint, that i was looking for a way to stretch it. because of insurance issues, i'm waiting for approval for an si injection. last year, i had both sides injected and it really helped painwise. leslie

oh my! no way!
the chiro tried to do something similar but less severe to my lower back once and never ever again.
can't imagine doing that to the SI.......
as for the injections you mentioned. i had my right SI injected rather topically with cortisone in may 2002 and it was good til may 2003. had both sides injected deeper with fluoroscopy about a month ago, while it helped deep down inside where it was injected, 3 weeks later and the top part bad again but settling down now. i was really hoping the injections would be the ace up my sleeve like the first time. the doc said we could inject again, sometimes that helps people, but i don't think i want to do that. she did leave it up to me.
hope you find relief soon,
sue

30 years ago my OBGYN D.O. did that on me when I was pregnant, I found great relief in this move and would ask him to do it everytime I had a visit. Not sure I would do it now, the pain in my hips and back is much worse now. I have little flexibility.

Hi Leslie
I have had this manipulation done on several occasions. While the video does look pretty painful, and it may be to some, in my case it does help redce the pain in that area for a time. In fact my chiro is a little gal, and even with me on a bench she can't get that last push without climbing onto my leg and bouncing on it to get the joint to "pop".

I like that move the best so much I know how to do it myeslf! Although, it doesn't appear to move my SI joint much, it moves my low back more and gets a good SI stretch going.

I cant even stand the thought of that let alone having it done. I think if he done that to me he would end up wearing hes $^%^&* around hes neck. Kevin

Hi Leslie, I think if you're in any type of a flare, that type of adjustment would be unwise. I think a good chiro can do good work, but based on my experience, I would only see an "activator" chiropractor. The activator adjustments aren't as jarring and much easier to take. However, even with the activator adjustments, I find there is very little benefit if I'm spasmed through a flare. I find that half happy baby pose is good at opening my SI joint. Think of it as an upside down runner's lunge. http://www.fitsugar.com/275678I didn't start incorporating this stretch until things calmed down... When my piriformis was acting up early in the year, most things I tried made it worse. Good luck finding some relief! Freddie

Hi Leslie, Years ago, I talked to my Rheumy about Chiropractic. He said that if I ever went to a chiropractor, I should be sure to sign my will first. He was pretty adament that any forced movement in my spine could be very very harmful. After looking at that, I tend to agree. Wow, it hurts just to watch it. OHHHHHHH. Dean
