Hi CaliQ. Yes, SSZ was a real bad scene for me. NEVER again. Got upto 5 weeks and that was that. Now left with tinnitus as residual side effect. Darn noisy it is to.
Am on LDN, low dose Naltrexone. That's for spinal inflammation/pain, and also for gut problems. Sure does help with the spine, but, does not seem to help much with the gut. For breakthrough, I have Nexen, antiinflammatory and for pain
400mg Paracetamol / 20mg Codeine. I try to steer clear of these drugs, but do take the LDN. (Refer to past posts for LDN information.)
Not considered good to take Codeine *with LDN, knocks out the good effects of, so am particularly careful about taking.
Was on Celebrex and Tramalol. Celebrex exacerbated my LPRG/GERD and the Tram made me somewaht nauseaus.
All very tiresome.
Worst for me is early morning, well, any time morning - stiff as a board. Also, getting up after sitting down. Get stuck and sometimes just can't seem to move, like, putting one foot in front of the other, feel like my hips are going to give way under me! During the night, trying to turn over is horrible. Chest and SIs. Usually makes me cry out. Soon as I am comfortable, then can settle down, until I have to get up! Sometimes wake up after a few hours poor sleep, in pain.
Nothing set in concrete, most nights are a tad different to other nights. Such is AS.
Do take supplements, herbs and vits, various. Even more so now, as I have a DX of open angle glaucoma (the common one.) Am not treating with any meds, going to see how the alternatives work first, 'smile'.
OK. Wind this ere machine down for the night. Think I spend too much time on it, not good for the eyes.
Night all - take care
