Hi John,
The depression is still currently being treated with Pristiq and the help of Buspar. For a long while now the depression has been well under control (no irrational thinking for a long time now) but I think latest depression is a result of the unnecessary pains and frustrations (still no irrational thinking, but just down in the dumps).
Thanks for the advice
Take care,
James

Hi Lisa,
Thanks. I keep thinking to myself, "it's only 2 more weeks", "it's only one more week" and so on, but time seems to go by so much more slowly when we're in pain. There is the chance that the new rheumy might not give me anything for a while too.
Take care,
James.

Hi Noelene,
Thanks for your reply. The rheumy that I am getting is the replacement rheumy for the rheumy that has moved away. He has every medical record that my rheumy had, even has the same medical building. There is no reason that I can think of as to why he couldn't allow me to have a little more Vicodin for my Vicodin prescription that ran out. The part that gets me irritated even more is that I never-ever take whole doses of it, far less than the recommended dose, because I am hypersensitive(undiagnosed) to most medication.
Take care,
James

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your reply. I could sure use someone like Bruno over here. I hope he doesn't mind visiting Ohio. I'm not the type of person that is very intimidating... so tell Bruno he's hired. He can bring Taylor Swift too. smile
Take care,
James

Hi Rumble,
Quote:
a lot of the docs are on the electronic medical record, so previous rxs are shown, dxs are shown, etc. That way the ER could see what's going on with you. If you get your xrays done at the same hospital, they can see the results and know you aren't feeding them a line just to get narcotics.

My new rheumy has everything needed to know about me because this is the replacement rheumy that has taken over my rheumy's position at the clinic. All of my medical records remained at the clinic and are available to the new doctor. I think he just won't be bothered to look at my records because he wouldn't be able to charge me for a doctor visit or he's afraid I'll skip out on my first visit. I hate to say that about someone I haven't even met yet, but I think it's true. I've already met up with my family doctor but he don't want to get involved with any temporary prescriptions, especially for something like a pain killer. What you wrote about "feeding them a line just to get narcotics" is exactly what my family doctor said he is afraid of getting into trouble for.

I'm thinking about going to the ER now, but I wouldn't exactly consider the trip an emergency though. The reason why I haven't gone yet is because it would be an expensive wasted trip if they didn't do anything for me. I may consider it though.

Hi Mig,
I don't think my new rheumy and family doctor communicate yet. They aren't from the same medical establishment(?) either. One is in Toledo, and the other is local, close to 50 miles away from Toledo (maybe less by highway). My local area doesn't have a rheumy, not even one that visits the area, unfortunately. Maybe giving them eachother's phone and fax numbers will help. Thanks for that advice. Even if it doesn't help now, it may help other situations later.

It must be so incredibly frustrating to have to go through the process of breaking in yet another new rheumy.

Yeah, I know what you mean. This will be my 3rd rheumy transition in maybe the last 5-6 years.

Take care,
James

Hello James,

Sorry to hear not in such a good place. Hope you can find a better place pretty soon.

Hopefully issues between two doctors clears up soon.

Hang in there,

Tim
