Hi Jeff,
I've already invited Bruno and Taylor Swift over so why don't you come on over and join in on the fun. Yeah I agree, the policies and procedures often get in the way of treatment sometimes. I've taken prescribed vicodin for at least 2 years, and my doctors know I'm not careless with my meds.

Thanks for your reply,
Take care,
James

Hi Craig,
I'm still thinking about going to the ER, and if it gets any worse than this I will. This morning when I woke up I didn't think I was going to be able to yawn because my ribcage was all stiff and sore. I did manage to yawn minutes later though.
Take care,
James

Hi ELoney,
I think if you became a doctor alot of us AS'ers here would want to be your patient. I'm still hanging in there, and I have a few tricks up my sleeve to help manage through some of the pain, but this time seems like a flare up which seems to make everything I try feel less effective.
Take care,
James

Hi Sue,
My internet has been flaky the last couple of days, so sorry about not being able to reply as quickly as I wanted to. I'm so sorry to hear that you have to pay out of pocket just to get the treatment you deserve. That is just so wrong.

I soon realized I don't need 'them' to have a good time, I was just bored out of my mind and wanted to try a game to take my mind off of things. I should have come here to talk among you friendly and courteous people instead - whom we all have something in common.

Thanks for the compliment. I have always thought the same of you too. hugss

Take care,
James

Hi Kevin.
I peeked in here at kickas.org and I saw a post that you decided it was time to give up the ciggies. How is that going now? I'll go look for that post in a little bit and check up on you lol. Good luck with your attempt to quit.

Doctors can be impossible to work with at times, but other times I feel they are lifesavers for me. That phrase "can't live with them, can't live without them" comes to mind.

Like I was telling someone else, I do have a few tricks to take the edge off of the pain, but it is requiring so much out of me just to get by. The pain killer was for the damage already done by AS and the remaining pains from past surgeries. That always seemed to help a great deal, even though I only take baby amounts.

Have a good night,
Take care,
James.

Hi Tim,
Thanks for your reply. I think I will be in better place in about a week. I need something to do until then though. I might watch a bunch of movies on television and definitely visit here.

Have a good night,
Take care,
James

hi james! smile

no need to apologize! none at all!

as for me paying for that doctor, that is my choice, i'm just grateful that i can afford it. just being proactive in case the other doctors want to stop my LDN or flector patches or whatever else is helping me. and i think you can understand, Dr A says doctor B should do X but Dr B says Dr A should do it, i just hate going round in circles chasing my tail, so i try to break the cycle when i can. i'm hoping i can go once, get her to prescribe the LDN, then go there very infrequently. or maybe i'll be so impressed, i'll find the money worth it. i go to the chiro twice week lately, $50 a week, but the best money i ever spent. compared to the nightmare last year of a PT, 2 physiatrists, a GP, and a rheumatologist not having a clue how to help me. and such a shame that chiros seem to often get a bad wrap. like any profession, good ones and bad ones. and this one is a keeper! smile i'm much more of an "actions speak louder than words" type of person. you really can't argue with results and success and that's what i'm getting right now. i hope the same for you. i know last year i just didn't know how i was gonna make it and then this year, i've got my life back.......for now.

and thank you! blush

Hi James
What a nightmare you are having at the moment.
Everyone has said things I wanted to say.

Except that, just to reassure you that you are not the only one who has been ganged up on online. My husband has given up his online gaming too, due to the kind of behaviour you stated. Not to mention some of the bulling is from kids! What is the world coming to?
There were a group who started a campaign to only let their crowd in and booted out others who wanted to play. My husband tried to teach them a bit of a lesson by rounding up the "rejects" to battle the bullies but in the end got fed up of sinking to their level and just has not more to do with them.
There are nice gamers around James, what games do you like playing? (I may regret asking this question as I don't know many games!)

Take care, hope your doctors get their flippin' act together. None of it makes any sense at all mad

Ah, James, honest to Pete, I just want to wrap you in analgesic bubble-wrap so you don't feel the pain. Instead, I'll send a ton of white light and love your way.

Warm hugs,

Kat

Hi Everyone,
I've been in bed since the last time I posted. I have come down with the flu or something. It feels like a cross between the flu and bronchitis/pnemonia?. This must be why I was aching so much for some days before making my post here, and I'm still very much aching (and still flaring I believe), with what might be the return of sciatica. I see the Rheumy tomorrow. Wish me luck.
