Thanks for all your replys so far it really interesting to hear others stories and experiences.

I have a really positive attitude considering the pain I deal with on a daily basis, I guess I just look at my beautiful daughter when I'm really feelin it and hope she doesn't experience this, saying that there is a good chance she'll go this way and I'll be ready to help her out where I can...and if she'll let me help...! I hope.

I'm the only one in my family to have AS, I guess I got it from my Grandfather who was diagnosed 'back in the day' with arthritis and had double hip replacements but late father, mother and brother are fine and have no joint issues.

Lets wish for a healthy future

I have read of children as young as 2 having it. SAA has a special folder for kids with AS. It is labeled for parents and teens, but I know that some parents with younger kids have posted there.

Hey Lisa, Those thoughts and prayers are needed and I thank you for them. Tomorrow morning I will be having emergency oral surgery and Feb. 1st is my cancer surgery. I will be glad when Feb 2nd is here. Now maybe the rest of the year will be free and clear if I get it all out of the way now. Have opted to delay the shoulder surgery again. I do keep you in prayer everyday and hope that things are going okay with you. Did you see the pulmanologist yet?
