2/8 KM bag: 60 min
2/9 KMI : 60 min
Today Thurs: KM I: 60 min
hello friends,
sorry i been MIA. but ya' cant keep a good bug down. lol laugh2 i was out for almost a week due to severe allergies and sinus issues. didnt want to see the doc. decongestant from advil seemed to get things cleared up but it was a slow and painful process. eyes asthma was acting up too which is no fun. so i figured i'd play it safe. plus been re-furnishing the wee bug's room so plenty i had to do and catch up with. rainbow

class today was excellent. i feel like i'm finally getting somewhere more and more each time i go to km1. i quite well enjoy it. i'm really gearing up for the testing hoping to do the end of march testing. getting closer and i hope i'm ready! the last 2 practices i found a young girl. probably a senior in high school or freshman college. she's a perfect partner. almost same height and build. so i am going to try to ask her if she'll be my testing partner. if not i'll hunt down this lady that is in KM3 that i really like to practice with in womens class and see if she'll be my partner for the test. she's very supportive and i can use any support with it. rainbow

kids have new wonderful bunk beds and new comforters. miss g has her own bedroom now. she was cheesed about it b/c she's used to being in the room with her baby sister but she was waking her so much with their different bedtime hours. baby bug goes to sleep at 8 while miss g goes to bed between 11-1130pm. so it makes more sense to fix g a room for herself.

all in all a rather productive week with the weather being warmer. this winter weather can hit you with the winter blues at the tail end. going to go trim some bushes and plants tomorrow. lost so many from this last terrible freeze. but i cant wait. i hope to get a bag set up to practice at home this month! wahoooo!! gooo team!! clap

Today I swam 1,000 yds at here. This place is amazing. It has movable walls within the pool. It changes from 25 yds/m to 50 yds/m to 100 yds/m.

hi sweetie!

such dedication with finding all these pools! glad to see you are still swimming!

was thinking about you today when i had a meal with a friend who lost her daughter to cancer this last year, it was helpful hearing her talk about how she has managed to live her life after this loss. i hope the same for you in time. i truly can't imagine anything more difficult. my thoughts and prayers are with you. heart

Awww... thanks Sue. smile I've been spending about an hour per day on a forum for parents who've lost their children to depression. It's like here - people there just really "get it". I feel for your friend who lost her daughter to cancer. It's just so backward to outlive one's child. My girl's friends in Seattle have gotten right on task with raising awareness and funds for NAMI in Kay's name. I find a common theme among the parents is that none of these precious people whom we've lost seemed able to be saved, even though they were so very loved and valued. It's just so sad because nowdays mental illness is SO TREATABLE! It's a shame that social stigma keeps so many people from seeking help. frown

thanks for the reminder that mental illness is treatable, i often worry about some of our students here. glad that you are raising awareness, talking about it here as well.

This morning I ran 7.25 miles in 1:14 minutes. I had originally planed on 8 miles, but it started raining at about mile 5 so I headed straight for the car. It stopped raining when I got back to the car, but I stopped also 3/4 a mile short.

Today I swam 1,000 yds in about 40 minutes. Ugh! The pool was 80F, and I have to say that is NOT conducive to a relaxing swim... but better than swimming laps in the 100F hot springs in Glenwood. Peace to everybody. smile

I really don't feel like cheering yet, but I'm going to try and "fake it til I make it".

So... Go TEAM! clap

hi erica! 80, brrr! cold! i used to pull things in a low 80s pool, then found the therapeutic pool around 90 back when i lived in VA. 100 though, yeh, probably a tad bit hot for a swim. love reading about your swimming adventure though smile

i shouldv'e gone out for a walk today but it was windy and cold and snowy and blowy and i convinced myself since i was walking all over the house today doing housework and various chores that that counted. we'll see about tomorrow. peace to you as well rainbow
