If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

yeh, the other problem here on the east coast is that when its 90, its 90% humidity!
ok, maybe not quite, but the humidity is the real killer. even in the shade it feels "hot".
i remember when i went out to wyoming in high school to camp with the scouts. it was hot but so dry i didn't realize how hot it was and thus in the process got a nasty burn on my back that scabbed up something awful. and remember when you got in the shade, it actually felt cool. The last time I got "that" sunburn was in 1991. I was visiting my hometown in central California from where I lived in Omaha. July felt soooooo cool in CA compared to NE. Still have a patch on my back that has no feeling at all.

In the 80's because I am that old, I moved to Minnesota in June. I grew up in Utah and had never been in humidity in my life. I don't know what the temperature was, but I thought I was going to melt away and die. I took a cold shower every chance I got, at least 3 a day. After about a month I didn't notice the humidity so much any more. The good thing was I didn't have any problems with allergies in Minnesota.

Isn't it strange how allergies (autoimmune) respond to different climates? I have so much better mobility here in the desert. I loved living in the Pacific NW, but the humidity just beat me up.

Yesterday, I sprayed weeds at our house and our neighbors, cleaned the kitchen floor, did 3 loads of laundry, worked in the herb garden and walked the dog. I know I was moving around most of the day but then I was so tired and hurt so much I couldn't sleep.
My dr. told me that exercise is exercise and work is work and just makes you tired. He told me that I need to work in exercise time just for me. I am considering the dog walking that at the moment.
The pool is really the best exercise for me but I haven't been doing it.
I am glad that I found this thread.
I am impressed with what some of you are doing. My son-in-law who has AS started eating right, exercising and taking Enbrel and is now doing Marathons and Triathlons. Impressive.
Have a great day!

I'm glad you found this thread, too! That's what my exercise physiologist told me as well. ALL MOVEMENT makes us better. It's the duration that matters. I'm with you on the pool. It has saved my life!

Today's run 8.11 miles in 1 hour 20 minutes. Steve, how can you breathe? Isn't there a huge fire burning? Maybe there are running gas masks available...

Steve, how can you breathe? Isn't there a huge fire burning? Maybe there are running gas masks available... The fire is on the other side of Utah lake from where I live. My nephew lives on that side of the lake, and he had to leave his house just in case the fire came down closer to the lake. The air was full of smoke last night, and I thought I would be going to the gym this morning. When I got up the air was clear on our side of the lake. I was going to run up the canyon, but they had a half marathon running down the canyon. I didn't want to be in the way. We can see the mountain on fire on the other side of the lake.
