Well, Montreal gave it a valiant effort, but it was too much of a Cinderella story for them to accomplish much more. They got into the playoffs by the hair on their collective chins, and likely will be much improved next year. However, the Leafs finished much higher in the standings for good reason, they played well when needed. It should be a great series as both teams are a little more equal in strengths, but when it comes to desire and heart, Francis is about all the Canes have, whereas about half the Leafs are playing with desire and heart.

It'll be one hell of a series for sure, but I believe the Leafs will win in 6!

Problem is Mark,

Your team isn't truly from the south, is it? What with half your team being made up of Canadians, including captain Francis and both alternates Brind'Amour and Wesley. I do say with great pride that, whichever team wins Lord Stanleys Mug, it'll be full of Canadians!! But we all know that the Leafs are well overdue!!

What, no further posts Doug? I am surprised, although not completely stunned, that Carolina has gone up 3-1 in this series. I really did think the Leafs would win this one, and they still might.

On the other side, that was a HUGE win for the Wings in game 3. Would have been terrible to lose that one after dominating much of the game. St. Patty almost stole one there. On the flip side, the Wings are "this" close to being up 3-0 in the series, so they have to feel pretty good about themselves.

Amen to that Cara!! The Wings just dropped one to the hated Avs, but I'm sure they will prevail in the long run and walk away with Lord Stanley's Cup next month.

You've got a BIG game tomorrow nite. Its do or die time for the Leafs. With any luck, my Wings can put a strangle hold on the hated Avs tonite in Game 5. Good luck to you and the Leafs. It would be awesome to see a cup finals between two original 6 teams, don't you think??
