I do not focus on fiber consumption for regularity. I experimented with numerous things, including psyillium husk. Ultimately, I came to the conclusion that a good probiotic was all I needed to keep me regular. The thing that I can't figure out is that now, I can go off the probiotic and I can still avoid constipation. Go figure. There are some people who feel that candida helps contribute to constipation... I don't know if that's true or not, but just another interesting theory out there.

Regarding the weight loss - it's something many of us experience. I went from 155 pounds to 127 pounds in the first few months of the diet. Over the next 4 years, I've gained almost all of it back (I'm around 150-152 now). For me the key was making sure I was eating enough no-starch carbs. I also suspect that some of the weight gain was me being able to be active again and putting some muscle back on my frame. It was a slow and steady process. Just make sure you eat a balanced diet (e.g. not too much protein, sufficient amount of no-starch carbs, some healthy fats).

Good luck!

Fruits and veggies have lots of fiber. A cup of raspberries has 17 grams, a cup of avocados - 14 grams.
Magnesium and probiotics can also help if constipation is an issue.

My body did adjust on NSD and I gained back some weight. In the beginning, If I felt like I was dropping too much I'd make coconut flour goodies and eat more nuts, nut butters. Most of my weight loss occurred in the first couple of months of the NSD and then leveled off.
