My wonderful dr. of many years told me that one of the biggest problems for drs. is to get tunnel vision when you have a chronic illness. He said he has to work really hard to not automatically assume every symptom is Lupus/RA/AS related.
He also said, "There are just drs. who know more than I do so when I suggest you see someone else about something, assume that I am doing it for your best interest."
Takes a good man to admit he doesn't know it all.
