If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Happy new year!
I had iritis a few weeks ago so I was afraid to go in the pool during that time.
Today I got back in the pool for the first time in almost three months. I swam 1000 yards and I was in the pool for about 25 minutes.

Happy New year!
Yesterday I ran 3.5 miles in the canyon. We are having an temperature inversion so the air in the valley is not good. I went up the canyon to go running to get some good air. First run of the year!!!

Tues and Weds went for 1 mile, 20 minute walks
Thurs we had a blizzard (can I say that? a foot of snow plus blowing winds equalled 2+ feet drifts impossible to walk through…..well walking to the mailbox was my big adventure for the day
Fri was 5 degrees but sunny and no wind so I just had to venture out. Walked ~ ¾ of a mile, ~15 minutes before I came in. Mostly warm enough, bundling up helps. At least I know I have a warm coat.

Yesterday, a balmy mid to high 30s, so we took a 1.5 mile walk, slow going though, body a bit cranky, so 45 minutes. Sunny too though a bit breezy

If it helps I bought tinted swimming goggles so that I could still swim with my iritis however I don't but my face in the water and they do mist up quickly if I get splashed. I haven't got the hang of sorting that out. I wear them whenever I swim now paranoid of anything setting it off.

I haven't been doing much for a while been through a bad patch.
I have stopped riding not because I physically can't but I have lost the inclination weird I don't know why I think it was all getting too stressful which I have only come to appreciate since I stopped helping with the horses (two weeks ago)
The upside is I now have time to do more walking. Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues circuit up the hill 35 mins

Yesterday I got up put on my running clothes looked outside. The roads where covered with snow. I knew a storm was coming, but I thought I could get out in front of it. I was looking forward to running outside. I am getting tired of the elliptical. I don't mind running in the snow, but now that we have more traffic in the area I worry about cars sliding into me. In the end I decided to run outside, and just stick to the back roads. 2.5 miles of running in a snow storm.
After I finished my run I was shoveling the snow off my driveway. My neighbor said I have some pants you can borrow. I was wearing my running shorts. I have running pants, but the temp was around 30 degrees so shorts were all I needed for running. I was still warm after the run while I was shoveling.
