Hey! Leave Mig's hair out of it! It is rather unique, isn't it?
lol Just kidding, Mig!

We have to remember what happened on that gruesome day! So many innocent people lost their lives and family's were forever split.

Oddly my eldest brother has just died, in Canada, midnight of the 11. Very peaceful. His wife was with him, so not alone in a hospital bed. Mycosis Fungoides, a non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Hardly diagnosed and then was dead ! Very swift, fortunately he did not live with interminable suffering, that is a blessing. Yes, there are certain days that one never forgets.

RIP big bro -

A few days ago I watched a 9 1 1 documentary on the History channel, alot of footage I never had watched. The one thing man unkind will never accomplish is forever lasting peace....and no bad hair days.

I couldn't help but feel a chill at 9:00 last Thursday morning s I remembered where I was and who I was with as the news footage aired ... then watching as the second plane hit. My then five year old niece telling me later that day, "Aunty Kathy, the plane hit the building." Of course I knew that, but she sounded so sad.

Humanity's ability to be inhumane knows no bounds. It never has. What has changed is the ease of world travel and the ease of news travel. Now, we hear about things within moments. Now, we're all in a position to be on 'that' plane, or to travel to one of the danger-zone countries and be the aid worker, or the journalist who is sacrificed for someone else's cause.

It sickens me to know that we do not ever change. Just the scale of what we do to one another.

Definitely a day that must be remembered.

Love and warm hugs,

Kat

Kat-
Some of us do change, sometimes.
Solomon said that in order for evil to prevail, good men stand by and do nothing..

as an encourager, please think of yourself as making a difference.

Let us each decide to bring others to a better place in this world, if they so choose to follow,

Remember to be stronger in love and perseverance, yea, stronger than even our enemies.

Lonnie, I do adore you. Thank you for that. You are right, of course. When good people stand by and do nothing ....

The Ayatolla, Taliban, Al Qaida, ISIS - I wonder who's next.

ISIS is scary, tho. More scary, I think, than the others. 300 women in Nigeria stolen and forced into slavery. Yazidi women and children stolen while their men are obliterated. They seem to hit in a wide range of locations, with large-scale theft of human life. At least Hussein and bin Laden were identifiable individuals. You could hunt them and their commanders. ISIS isn't identifiable. There is no real figure-head. Who are we hunting?

We will all need to be strong in the coming years, I think.

Love,

Kat

Kat-
you were right too!

Yet, I fear the social battle in So. CA far more than I fear ISIS.
The battle for the mind is coming to a neighborhood near you.
