I used to say that I didn't notice any significant difference with changes in weather. Well, I take that all back. Right now the weather has just changed for the worse and I'm quite achy generally with greatly increased pain in fingers and a couple of other places.

I'm now wondering if I didn't use to notice the difference because my pain levels always used to be so high anyway (6-7 on the mankowski scale). Now I'm on LDN and getting a lot of relief from it, my daily pain levels are more like a 3, and so I guess I notice the weather changes that much more.

Makes me realise how much better things are generally now than they were only a matter of months ago.

i used to swear weather had no effect, but this past spring / early summer, the weather was up and down with cold fronts and warm fronts and storm fronts....it was crazy....and every time i went in to the chiro and complained, he'd ask "do you think the weather affects you?" and every time, it was turning cold and rainy. So now I do think weather affects me.

but as you stated, when i was so bad, it was hard to notice a difference. you have to feel somewhat good to be able to notice when something makes you worse. before it all overlapped so much.

glad the LDN is giving you some relief. its about time you got some.

Hey Cemc,

What kind of weather affects you?

For me I always feel worse when it's warm. I actually enjoy cool weather. Lucky I live in New Zealand!

Yup, me too. Cold damp weather just kills me. Even with biologics I can feel it; although, it isn't as bad.

I know you'll understand when I say that I'm glad you're noticing a difference? smile

Love and warm hugs,

Kat

Worst weather for me is too hot, as it totally wipes me out and sun flares rosacea. I am living in the northern isles of Scotland and it's generally fine with lovely long days in summer but not intense heat or sun. Winter is generally ok too with very little frost or snow thanks to the salty sea air. We can get some dramatic changes though with strong winds and associated wind chill, and that is what hit me a few days ago. Back to feeling not too bad today though.
