Has anyone been diagnosed with sarcoidosis? I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis about 1.5 yrs prior to being diagnosed with AS. Granulomas were found in both lungs after having an MRI. Had a biopsy to confirm, there was a thought that in might have been cancer. Was wondering if this could actually be from AS instead of sarcoidosis?

I don't have it, but I believe there are some similarities in appearance between interstitial lung disease that can arise from autoimmune conditions (or methotrexate use) and sarcoidosis. Might be worth going back to a lung doctor and making sure they are aware of the AS, and getting them to review the diagnosis

I haven't been on here in ages, therefore I hadn't seen this post.
I was diagnosed and treated for AS for 20 yrs. When I changed Dr.s and had a MRI I was told I didn't have AS. Prior to that I had been Dx'd with Sarcoidosis. Now they are saying no to AS but sarcoid in my bone/marrow along with lymph, lungs, skin, parotid glands and possibly kidneys.
I just had an x-ray recently of my hip and the findings are similar to those in AS.
Crazy!! The good thing is the treatments for both are pretty much the same!
