Sitting here reading some old posts and a more recent one.

Read the one about a London meet up and noted a goodly number of responses from around the
UK.

It is odd for me to understand why we haven't made some arrangement or other, especially since I actually went to Canada to meet some fabulous ASers there.(Mig-Innana-Peacepiper-and Dan. We tried to meet Brad but he was struggling somewhat with his severe AS at the time and couldn't make the huge drive from Detroit into Toronto).

I am ashamed and Sad to report that when he was in London I was unable to turn up and meet Dow who had travelled from New York.

Perhaps then we should attempt an actual UK meet up?
We could litter KA with pictures and exciting tales!!!

Anyway, just meandering here but perhaps we could try....what do you fellow British say?

And now Molly....what's wrong with the road to Nottingham!!!! I know a great man who lives here...............oooops there I mean...!!

Bit difficult for me to get to London. 743 miles, two ferries, at least four nights on the road. Even to Inverness is an overnight trip.

Louisay...I am in Nottingham, have a probable 5 from Leicester area so currently somewhere in East Midlands I would assume but open to suggestions.

CEMC..Yes, realise it is difficult for you and regretful of that fact for you would be interesting to meet and to talk to. Sadly if we met where I am it would only knock 140 miles off of your 743. so minimum of 600-Cripes that's a bit of a trip, and then after we have dined you would have to get the bus back....cripes again...

Perhaps a Skype meet could be arranged, mileage then would not figure but we could all sit at our computers with wine and cheese!!

Skype sounds interesting. Google hangouts can take up to ten people at a time, but although I've taken part in them, I wouldn't have a clue how to set them up.

Sounds fascinatingly complex..........but........a good suggestion. I am going to have a fiddle about with it and see if it is possible.

Could even get every KA member on line at the same time....lol well perhaps not

Was out of station for a few days - Right. Weeeellll. Am in France, a tad diff to get over to UK, think it is called empty pocket book syndrome !! That is the only prob for the road to Notts - otherwise no probs - though would take a train as don`t `do` UK traffic.... spook eek2 Mind you, I was rather hoping that you might offer to send over the KA travelling shed to pick me up, then, could go via the outer islands of Scotland to pick up cemc.

To the rescue - Skype, what a gas. Clever idea. AND the whole of KA ? Biggest party ever. Will need more than cheese and wine. 11,606 people, talk for one minute each = 11,606 mins, now divide by 60 for the hours, so how many weeks is that <LOL> Will assuredly see us through to C`mas and probably to Easter...

So, go to it young man - but just do NOT go choosing a day / time when I will be away ! Like quite a bit of Oct, and days here and there in Nov.

Await developments - and thanks for the heads` up
