If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Back from the Rheumy and we are switching from my Humira that has lost effectiveness to Cimzia. I am unfamiliar with Cimzia. Does anyone have any experience with it? On a side note; it always seems that whenever I get into the doctor, my swellings are not apparent. So, this time I would take pictures of swollen toes, feet, hands, wrists, fingers, etc. When I showed my Rhuemy the pictures, she was actually surprised at how swollen my joints get. She had never seen it although she always believed me. Now, she understands why I would say I couldn't use my hand for a week.

I've taken it for 2.5 yrs and it's going well for me. I've already taken Remicade, Humira, Enbrel, Simponi with varying success. After your loading doses, you will have a choice between one shot every 2 weeks or two shots every 4 weeks. Rheumy told me testing was done with 2 shots every 4 weeks. That's what I do and it's worked well. One month, I decided to try the alternative and did 1 shot every 2 weeks. Either that's not enough of a dose to get my inflammation down or I had a huge flare that month, but it just wasn't a good month. Haven't tried it again (scientific method, etc...LOL), though, so can't say definitively that's why. Ask your doc which he/she prefers and why. I'm curious what you do.
Glad your doc believes you. Pictures are worth a million words, imo. Hope Cimzia does well for you. Gentle hugs.

My aunt went from Remicade that did nothing over a 2-3 year period to Cimzia that gave her her life back almost right away. She was dx'ed with psoriatic arthritis though she and I have had nearly the same symptoms and I've been dx'ed with undiff spondy, though her psoriasis was always worse than mine, but our GI stuff and joint stuff and the other stuff was pretty much the same. So its worked for her. Sorry to hear the Humira wore off; good luck with the new Biologic!

The Cimzia is working! Hurrah!! I've been on it for a couple of weeks now and I'm able to do more and my swelling is undercontrol.
I hope it lasts for a while with no bad side effects.
