If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Does anyone know of any international health insurance provider that covers AS for an American living abroad?

I have always assumed you can't get health insurance for a preexisting condition. If you can get such insurance it would have to be very costly.

Frederick - I live in Europe, France. I have pvt insurance which covers ALL my existing conditions: known as a Mutuelle (there are many Mutuelle's to choose from. Mine gives me extensive cover). Is a bit expensive, but not out of this world. It picks up what the state medical cover does not cover. I can also obtain international travel insurance for existing conditi ons from my general insurance company. Which I did, for a years' cover, but in the end did not travel on an international basis. From memory, that was Euros:600/- (I have since cancelled that cover.)
This is different to the UK where one would not get private medical insurance for an existing condition nor for travel ! No way. On the other hand the UK has the NHS - which is superb, pretty much bar none, that is, when fully manned, without constraints and when working !!
I do not know about other countries in the European Union nor for other countries.

I live in Germany and I have a travel insurance, there was no questions asked about pre-existing conditions. The public health insurance will also cover you. For private they might not.
