If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I am 37 and diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis 2 months ago on March 11th 2024. Prior to it back in 2006 I had left mouth and Hip pain. It was clear in 3-4 months. Reoccurred with right mouth and left heel in 2011 which healed in 3-4 months. Back then it was diagnosed as RA. But now doctor mentions it as AS. I am ANA negative. HLA B27 negative. Started with Deflazacort but then switched doctor and started SaaZ. 2 500mg in morning as well as evening. And one calcium nitrate and D3 in morning. Fish oil supplement in afternoon after food
I have cut down all processed foods and sugars. Did 110 hour fasting with honey, lime and water.
While my symptoms at this moment are very bearable and do not disturb with my day to day life, I want it to heal completely.
What options can a South Indian (Hyderabad) follow without becoming too thin. I was 78kg and 5’11” before diagnosis. and now at 71kg
So far this is my diet
Soaked Almonds without peel, soaked walnuts and cashews, soaked brazil nut. Finger Millet Dosa. Fruits in the morning like apple and banana. Afternoon white rice and some curries (indian style cooking). Switching to brown rice and see if it helps. Evening pineapple, dragonfruit, green tea. Night jowar roti with same curries.
I eat nonveg, chicken and fish both once a week
What other changes can I make to my diet that works in Indian climate? does low starch diet work? And still not lose further weight.
I ensure to walk at least 30 mins daily (4-5km per hour speed).

No starch diet works for me very well... many foods you eat are starchy on your list.
Unsure what kind of help you are looking for listing several starchy foods... can look at increasing protein and fat to help with weight. I have been doing intermittent fasting for a few years now and believe it has really helped heal my GI that I am now able to eat rice and some other starchy foods daily without issue.
