If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I just started on bextra a week ago and I feel great. I felt good on vioxx too but I was retaining fluid so I was switched to mobicox which gave me a bad case of the nasties. The only problem with bextra is the price, and my medical plan doesnt cover it.

i was taking celebrex too and i thought it stopped working, tryed all the rest, vioxx, was great for pain but i itched terribley and with bextra i got no pain relief and itched terribly. this catagory of meds stinks, but i went back to celebrex, i found that it was working, i knew when i went off it! now i take it with prednisone. see all these are the same, bextra, vioxx, celebrex, for me anyways, they dont do alot for the pain but take the edge off, i add prednisone and a muscle relaxant.
do you have allergies, hypothyroid, leaky gut, underlying viruses? i'm asking everyone. fixing those may fix AS. i'm am looking into it.
change diet can help alot but it has to be like a severe change which is very hard.
also vitamin suppliments, zinc, a, e, c and the b's are great and dont forget calcium / magnesium. for starters. along with fish oils, salmon and bromleain.
best of luck! Paingirl

Hi Dan, I was on Bextra since last summer on and off. Worked better at 20mg a day as opposed to the 10mg. Did nothing for the pain, but did take the edge off my morning stiffness. I could roll out of bed without grasping onto something tightly and wincing from pain. It was better than Vioxx for me and Mobic, Sulfa, and Tolectin all gave me terrible reactions. I am deathly allergic to aspirin so I had pretty much bombed on alot of the meds. Unfortunately with my pregnancy had to get off since not enough is known about Bextra yet. My liver enzymes were elevated late last year and went off Bextra. Turned out I had elevated enzymes for the last year and a half. My GP said it is common to see folks with autoimmune diseases to have elevated enzymes when flaring. That explained alot. Hope it helps you out...in least take an edge off. see ya' Buggy

Hi Laneblue, I just wanted to let you know that the Dr. gave my husband samples of Bextra. He has to pay 100% for all of his medicines so we always welcome samples from the Dr. He has been on Feldene for years but the Dr. wanted him to try this medication when in a flare. It seems to give him some relief. Alot of the drug companies have programs that enable people to get their medicines free or at a reduced price if you qualify. Here are a few links that might help. http://www.bextra.comhttp://www.pfizer.com/subsites/philanthropy/access/index.htmlTake care, Liz .jpg) Cocoa Beach Sunrise Begin each day with a smile on your face and a song in your heart!

Thanks for the information Liz, the only problem is that I think the programs are in the US, and I am in Canada. I do try to bum as much as I can from my DR and Rhuemy.

Hi Buggy, I am glad your doing ok. I was watching TV. Larry King and Dr WEIL was on and was asnwering quesiton from telephone calls. One person asked about Enbrel. He told her that he would recommend to get off Enbrel because one of his patient that was on Enbrel for a year had developed cancer in several area of her body. I meant for him to be on Larry King's show, he must know something. I have been on Enbrel for three months and I liver enzymes and blood levels are high. Dr WEIL recommend an alternative medicine for treating RA, AS, and any RA.......I got Bextar from my new rhuemy but it has some side effects too. I have had Iristis for three weeks. My rhuemy told me that Bextra was suppose to help. Well it hasn't....as a matter of fact my ophthamologist had to inject me with steroid in my left eye because it was real bad. Ok sorry, I just went on with my health. You take care and hope you have a wonderful weekday/end. Dan I'm a little pain on the "AS"..
