Alot of things going on right now...right now we found out that Ethan is going to have emergency surgery on thursday afternoon or friday morning.
I don't really want to discuss it right now but the last time Ethan had a horrible reaction to the anathesia so we have an appt. tomorrow with the anathesiologist to talk about what kind we want him to do this time.
Just feeling overwhelmed right now and needed my family.
Will update as possible.
Lisa

You're in my thoughts...
Lisa, white light and love heading your and Ethan's way at top speed! I'm sorry little Ethan must have another surgery. Your KA Family is pulling for him, hon.
Warm hugs,
I take it Ethan is your little boy Lisa. Waves of positive energy coming his way. If he had a bad experience the first time they would have learnt something, so he will be well. Stay positive. He will be well
Lots of hugs and prayers to you and your family!!!
Craig
I hope you don't mind me answering this, seeing as we don't know each other, but, as a mother myself, I can imagine how frightened you must be.
Please know that you and Ethan are in my prayers.
Hi Irish.
We all support each other here so please feel free to answer any posts you want to your part of our KA family now and will get the same support from every one if you need it at any time.
Kevin
Hi All,
Well the surgery is suppose to be friday morning we are just waiting on a time.
I appreciate you all so much, not sure what I would do right now without you all here.
I will write more once we get more information. Ethan is handling this really well not sure he understand all of it but he will be fine I am sure. We go in the morning to talk to the Anathesiologists so hopefully we will get squared away there.
Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers this right now will be a long ordeal the Dr. said full recovery will be about 8 weeks and it is very possible he will actually have to go thru another surgery, but I am not letting myself go there right now...one day at a time.
Hugs,
Lisa
Here's one for you:

Oh sweet sis..
I am so sorry that all of you are going through these hard times right now. I have been praying for you and will ramp it up. Ethan is precious. He will win the hearts of those nurses over immediately and will be well taken care of. We love your sweet family. I just don't know how to tell you all of my thoughts and concerns. I have been thinking about Bill also. I know the job situation falls way to the back with Ethan's problem. Just tough right now. Just remember to hold on to Jer. 29:11.

Love you all.
Possi
More hugs, Lisa. I'll be especially thinking of you all and Ethan on Friday. I'm sure it will go well.
Hi All,
Well we just got back from the hospital getting Ethan pre-admitted and talking to the anathesiologist and the insurance so hopefully we will have everything squared away. We are just waiting on the Drs. office to call us with the actual time that we have to be there.
Ethan had a horrible experience with his last surgery and they used the drug called KETAMINE. If anyone here is having surgery especially a child please do not let them give this drug to them. They have other sedation drugs to choose from. All they told us this last time was this drug will either make him feel like he is in heaven or make him feel like he is in hell...I will give you 1 guess. It was horrible when he woke u and was trying to come out of the sedation he thought people were trying to kill him, he thought the Drs. had cut off different body parts, he was screaming trying to get out of the bed. I finally screamed at them to give him a sedative so they gave him Ativan then I griped at them about why they would let a child go that far and the parent have to ask for something to calm him down. Needless to say I am very nervous, Bill and I are not showing it for Ethan but he is starting to get nervous now.
The anathesiologist told us that if he is really nervous or upset they will give him a sedative in liquid form to calm him down (I think he will be fine) then they will put the mask on him and then as he is drifting off they will put the longer acting sedation in his IV.
I will just be glad when this is over..the recovery time is suppose to be about 8 weeks but I am more concerned with him going under than I am anything else.
Thank you everyone who is keeping us in your thoughts and prayers, it means so much. So much has been going on lately and I just have that please dont put one more thing on my plate thinking.
Hoping once this is all over I will feel more like sitting down and writing all that is going on. Of course with all of this going on I haven't been able to have a treatment (remicade) since december so I am a complete mess..have been popping the oxy's but once Ethan has his surgery and probly at least 1 to 2 weeks after surgery I will be able to have a treatment.
Our oldest Tiffany is finally telling people she is pregnant and we have seen a picture of the newest little angel..yea! she is right at about 13 weeks due date is August 18th..funny thing is my Dad's the baby's Great Granpa's birthday is August 5th and the baby's Daddy's birthday is August 30th so anytime in there is great. As long as she doesn't have the baby 6 weeks early again. On time and healthy.
Hugs,
Lisa

Hi All,
Thanks so much for the thoughts, prayers and well wishes..we sure needed them.
It has been a long day and Im glad to say about over. Surgery went great with only one hitch, this time when Ethan was coming out from the anathesia his oxygen levels dropped to about 89 which is not good they are suppose to stay at 98 or higher. They put him on 100% oxygen and he was in recovery much longer than expected but once they got him stabalized they let me and Dad come back.
We are finally home and I am wiped out as the rest of us. None of us slept last night you should have seen all of us last night one up, two down, three up, all down...ugg then to have to get up at 4..lol
Im just so thankful all went well and I have you all to vent to. Keep the good wishes coming Ethans totally recovery time will be at about 8 weeks but now that surgery is over and he did great the recovery will be a piece of cake.
Thank you all so much!
Hugs,
Lisa
