A little story to tell.My dog has a loose knee cap apparently,so i take her to the vet expecting surgery for her.The vest checks her out and says it is not too severe. She recommends 6 lazer treatments and .get this...COW HOOF SOUP..SHE TOLD ME TO BUY A BAG OF HOOVES AT THE LOCAL BUTCHER.I am to boil them for 8 hrs with yams, turnip.carrot, yucca, cinnamin bark, fennell seed, chinese star spice, and a lot of soy sauce.I go to the butcher and asked about the hooves. The butcher said he cant keep them in the freezer because people are buying them to make soup for human and dogs with all different kinds of arthritis. He and the vet said they are seeing very good results with the soup. The vet told me i should try it because i told her i have AS.Wll my dog has been on it for a month now and is again walking on all four legs. She hasent done that in two yrs.I am wondering......was it the laser treatments or did this cow hoof soup actually work.
A long story short..has anyone ever heard of this as a treatment for ARTHRITIS?
Something to ponder.Aparently the soup is loaded with cartilage that helps rebuild our own.
Food for thought
John
ps
I am pondering trying it out if my dog continues to get better.
Best to everyone

John

Good luck with your pooch!
Cheers,

Sounds pretty tasty - just ensure the hooves are well and truly scrubbed up. Hmmmmmm. Wonder, where on earth can I get cows hooves out here in France? Chat up the local butcher...OK market day tomorrow, see what the stalls might produce for me to pick up next week!
Michelle tell your neighbors to try Ester-C for their dogs hip problems. I read about it in an outdoor mag several yrs ago, a bird dog trainer was giving it to older dogs with hip problems and getting good results. I had a worn out hip at the time an took it for a yr. or two myself, I swear it seemed to help my pain some. I have since had the hip replaced and have not been taking it, the brand I used was Natrol, I think. Our 8 yr. old Corgi has been having some joint pain, and I routinely take MSM, so I started putting some in her water dish daily. After about a week she is trotting around like a pup again, so I would recommend either or both products. It is hard to give up a pet.

COW HOOF SOUPhas anyone ever heard of this as a treatment for ARTHRITIS?
Nope, but my old dog lasted another five years after the vet told me to feed him raw bones with meat on them. He ate so fast I had to freeze the bones, but that dog would gnaw on a frozed chicken quarter for a couple of hours. Same with beef bones. And, his dermatitis never came back, nor did his elbow raw spots. Good luck!
Hey John I will wait to see if you start moooing before I try

Kevin
Why, Kevin??? Are you a
COWard, or something?
I'm sure John isn't trying to feed you a load of
BULL..
cool! thanks for sharing this !
Yes. raw meaty bones - can check out that exact website: rawmeatybones. Australian vet, excellent. Fed my dog nothing else but raw meaty bones, fish, fresh fruit and veggies. She was a big dog, lived to be 12yrs old. Good till the end, when diabetis got her. Vet and I thought her system was poisoned by toxic run off from fields. Sigh. Otherwise she should have still been alive. She was a good dog.
