yep, i have the gnarly fingers. i'm always embarassed about it.
my mom doesnt but my grammy has the same fingers and has for years like myself. not sure if that's as related or what. my rheumy never addresses it as a different type. it's not carpal though. i've been tested for that and my mom had surgery for that. she had a whole mess of problems with hers and her trigger finger from years as a seamstress. luckily her second surgery helped her immensely.
mine never look swollen just odd shaped and so darn stiff. i drop everything. i AM missus butter fingers.
i drop utensils, pens, cups, plates, you name it..on a daily basis. hmmmm...butterfingerbug???? has a ring to it eh?
