Hey guys.
So...when you say 'elevated liver levels' what exactly does that mean???

My rheumy had taken me off NSAIDs [the day after I took myself off them!] because of elevated liver levels, back in September. I have had several blood tests, and she says the elevated liver levels are going down but aren't right yet. Also, I have been on NO other medications at all except steroid/dilating drops for my iritis. So...she sent me to get an AMA test with the following results:
mitochondrial antibody test positive to a titre of >1:640
okay, what does that mean? I have tried my best to find out about it on the internet and the closest thing I could find was:
"titers [blood levels] of more than 1:160 are generally found only in Primary Biliary Cirrhosis."
I have that written down on my notes from internet research somewhere!
Also I had the same AMA test done back on August 11 with the same results.
Does anybody know what this all means? I am getting a little worried thinking that I may have this Primary Biliary Cirrhosis! and I would really rather not!
Little help here.....
Rita
