If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hello Everyone, So I went to my rheumatologist yesterday. The appointment went okay. I had been taking Enbrel but stopped about a month ago because I was getting tingling in my feet and wasn't sure if it was a side effect or a result of some kind of disease process. I also didn't feel any different taking it, so I figured as long I'm still so early stage with this I'll avoid the heavy hitting drugs (I've been having that same "is it worth potential side effects for the potential benefit to this potential diagnosis" debate all along).
I've also been getting muscle twitches, I guess they're spasms, every day in various muscles all over. Usually near my knees, my feet, my shoulder and my back. They don't hurt at all and don't last long. They typically happen when I wake up or when I sit down at the end of the day. Sometimes it's only a spasm that lasts for a few seconds, so very mild and not an inconvenience in any way. They also don't seem to be related to pain in the joint itself. I asked my rheumatologist if that's a symptom common with AS and he said he hadn't heard it much. He's having me take naproxen daily for a month to see if that helps anything and he was thinking if it continues I might see a neurologist to rule out MS.
Does anyone else experience this kind of muscle spasm? And if so, does it seem to be related to anything like cold or pain? One day I woke up feeling chilly and that was the most spasming I've had at one time. I pulled out the comforter that day and it hasn't happened since ... lol.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this. I feel so lucky to have found this site. You're all so welcoming and reassuring! I hope I can return the kindness!
