It's very scary to be dealing with a tumor. I've been there. Fortunately mine was benign and I hope yours will be too. My thoughts are with you.

Dearest younger friend,
It wasn't that long ago Lon when I had a similar talk with you about the C word except that our roles were reversed then. At that time, I was very concerned about when I should tell my sons and I was reluctant to tell the younger ones.
I did take your advice and they all know now but something great has happened lately and I feel that you must have had something to do about it. I am in full remission and that means that I can now send back to you, the inner strength that you shared with me. Reach out, grasp it and take it back. It worked for me. Now it is your turn.
