No apologies required--I'm sorry that I did not get the knock-on reference...I understand 'Bringlish' usually much better, but some idioms escape me--especially if sports-related. Anyway, most of us make spelling errors--you won't be graded on that. Certainly, your posting was very timely, provocative, and useful; the kind that helps us learn from each other.

I did used to suffer with the heart burn, nasty stuff. The the gall stones messed up my gall bladder and put me in hospital for a couple of weeks with an inflamation, of the said bladder. When it was healed enough I was sent home to await my Drs pleasure, in other words I had to wait while the hospital could fix a time when they could remove the gall bladder. It came nearly 1 year later and in the mean time my diet was reduced to no fats, cheese, red meats only the good stuff for me. Now my gall bladder is no longer there I do not suffer with the heart burn, but my diet still means no fats, only a little cheese if I can sneak it out of the fridge, and all the fruit and veg I want. I don't suggest you go and have your gall bladder removed, but as John Dslayer says the diet is important.
As for the 'knock on effects' of the non sleep pattern it is a vicious circle.
