If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

my mom played the nsaid game for years. took then til her stomach hurt her too much, then stopped til her arthritis hurt too much, back and forth. when celebrex came out, she was able to tolerate that better, but even that eventually got to her stomach. it is milder on the stomach though, can't remember if you've tried that instead. for me, even those cox 2 inhibitors were too much.

Don't give my wife any excuse to throw me out. She would probably tell you she has many many other excuses to give me the boot.
My wife has to put up with me and I put up with her. We have our moments but that is how it goes.

Sue
I have tried Celebrex in the past with little results. It might be time to try it again. I don't remember any stomach upset though.

Hi Jeffery,
I'm still taking celebrex in my mix (along with mtx and pred). The celebrex makes a big difference - I've really noticed it the couple of times I missed taking it. And I've had no stomach issues with it. I'd like to get off it when I can because I worry about long term use but, for now, it's really helpful.

a lot of people can tolerate celebrex well, at least a lot better than the nsaids, why it was created in the first place. ulcers run in our family, even without the effect of drugs, just genetic, so we're a special case. i remember this one seminar where they said that the nsaids bind to the cox1 enzymes (that control the stomach functioning, among other things) 100 fold less than the nsaids do, so for most people, they really should be a lot better. maybe they'll help with your pain without bothering your stomach, that would be nice.

I take Celebrex the odd time when I need to. When I was on Remicade, it was during those weeks when it was coming out of my system. On Enbrel, it's maybe on the day before. Really, it doesn't work as well as my salve (which I use every night on the bad areas that biologics simply do not help - I'm pretty sure it's fibro related pain), but I'd be bathing in the salve to get an overall anti-inflammatory!!!
Warm hugs,
Kat

The saga continues... I had a good day yesterday but the heat and humidity was down. Today it was hotter and the humidity was up and I have felt sick again. Just standing in the heat starts me sweating and feeling sick. Working in it just a little bit is awful. I have worked in the heat before with no real problem. Sure I would sweat and feel exhausted but I would recover after putting the a/c on in the truck. I am careful to cool off slowly so it's not such a shock. The only difference from last year that I can think of is the fibro meds, Savella and Lyrica. I will be making an appointment tomorrow to see the doc. I came home today and yelled we needed to turn the a/c on. I was standing there not sweating but feeling like I was on fire. I wish I could get this under control. Could it be menopause??
