Hi everyone,

I have been going to the U of A Hospital Rehab quite regularily and I finally do believe someone is trying to finally help me. Yesterday they did Accupunture on me...I was surprised....in my neck and shoulder. I am not sure if it has helped but by tomorrow I should know. My arms fall asleep when I lay down and about 2 months ago I did something to my right shoulder which has bothered me since. Now my right arm tingles even when I am upright so they are working on that.

These therapists are amazing.....they had me stand up and could see by just looking at me that my ribs were inflamed.....which would explain the chest pains the past few days. My right foot is very sore and I am getting very close to not being able to walk on it so as soon as I mentioned that they went and got someone to come and look at it. It wasn't even really swollen yesterday like it usually is but they sure thought it was. They also said my ankles were swollen...good thing I wasn't naked....lol

They talked about maybe trying meditation for pain etc. I didn't expect to hear this from a Hospital. The Pain Clinic next door sure didn't suggest any of this. They were just into trying different expensive meds that did nothing for me.

So I find this encouraging for a change. I also called my Rheumy which I have not bothered to do for several months. He asked me to call him after the last round of tests I had.
So I left a message at his office and hopefully he returns my call soon. I want to know if he has had the Tele Conference he was planning with all those docs around the world to review my CT's his time.

I still have my Consignment store and I am still working at the Casino although my position has changed to only Management which means I am spending less time on my feet which I think is a good thing....hence why my foot wasn't as swollen yesterday after working 10 hours on Sunday. Yes, the hours are longer and I am still working 7 days a week but really I am working less than I used to. 61 hours a week now.

I just filled my last script for Humira and am curious to know if my doc wants me to continue on it. The only other med I am taking is Naproxan and I think it has helped with the pain in my knees and feet.

So just a little bit of a long update.

I have always heard acupunture is good and have always wanted to try it.

Hi Michelle......it's funny how that works isn't it.
I am taking care of myself....some may think not....but I do.

My boyfriend spoils me rotten and wants to take care of me. He rubs cream into my feet and massages my feet and back every single day. I am so fortunate to have met him. You all know I can do it on my own but it is so much nicer to have help.

You may get a chuckle out of this.....He entered me into a
MILF Mothers day contest on a radio station and I won. He had to write a story and tell them why I deserved to win. I don't know what he said but I got a day at a Spa out of it, tickets to George Thorogood and a gift certificate to a restaurant. He is so sweet.

Hi Lisa,

I had no idea when I went in yesterday that that is what they were going to do. I, of course, had never tried it because of the cost and if it didn't work that would really suck but this is done at the Hospital and covered by our health care. So it didn't cost a thing really, especially because we no longer have health care premiums...yay.

I will let you know if it works or not. They did say my neck may feel weird for a day or two...I am curious if my arm gets better. Fingers crossed ....

I am doing better I think...mentally mostly....still fight with depression alot but I am doing things financially to try and relieve some of that stress.

I think of you everyday too Lisa !!! Miss you all.....hopefully someday I can feel comfortable enough to post more regularily.

I hope the acupuncture works for you. I've tried it quite a few times; the first few worked really well and gave me a couple of weeks relief. I will pray that it does the same for you.
