If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I have had a lot of problems with my knees and my right knee had osgood schlatters as a child but it is still giving me hell.
So I had an x-ray done and these are the results.
Satisfactory alignment with no fracture identified. Small osteochondroma arises from the posteromedial aspect of distal femur shaft. There is an oviod 1.2x.7cm diameter focus of soft tissue calcification within distal insertional right patella tendon fibres and is associated with bony spurring of the tibial tuberosity.
I saw my doctor today and all he said was that he is refering me to a ortho specialst.
So I checked this up on the net and found out the osteochondra is the most common bone tumor and not normaly cancerous but if it appears in mature skeletal (an adult) it increases the chances of it being malignent. (cancerous)
So I am a little worried now as this didnt show when I had my 1996 x-rays when I was 17 and fully grown. Has anyone else had these? Should I be worried?
I chose to go public so I may have to wait a while before seing the specialist to find out anything.
Thanks Trish xx

don't know trish, but sending warm thoughts your way all i can suggest is to try not to worry about it til you have a definitive answer, like the polyps they found in my colon, i'm going to assume they are benign unless i am told otherwise, but maybe that's easier with polyps because they often are benign. still hope you don't get too worried about it til you find out more.

I hope you get your appointment soon so you can find out more. There's nothing quite like the waiting game to get your brain thinking the worst is there? Will be thinking about you, hon.

Thanks lovlies. All the research I have done says they are the most common benign bone tumor but it doesnt stop the worry since it is only a new groth. I am trying not to be overly concerned though.
And so good to hear from you again Tink was wondering how you are doing?

Hello Trish Glad you are managing to hang-in there, hon. I have been feeling a bit done-in lately to tell the truth. I am so wiped out and feel like I am going to drop off standing up or mid sentence! Am going to see a nutritien therapist to get some advice on what I am eating. Hoping this will throw up some ideas. Thanks for thinking about me! Love Tink

Nutty therapist!!! How funny!!! You obviously detected that I am clutching at straws here! I may have been slightly blinded by her impressive qualifications, let's hope they do well in practice! I am confident that I will get something out of it, even if it's never to go back again!!! LOL Seriously though, I think I need somone who knows what they are talking about to check out my diet and make sure it is not respsonsible for some of my undesired symptoms lately. Maybe I can make some simple adjustments to what/how much/when I am eating and feel much better. Fingers crossed. And also fingers crossed for you, sweetie xxx PS will hope to see an update from you soon and will of course let you know how Im doing xxx
