I totally understand your frustration, Mig...we've come too far to let false information drag us backward! yes

What??? laugh2 Oh Alan that takes the cake..!

Well, I just tried doing the test for you and for the question, "Approximately how long have you had back pain or stiffness?" ... I calculated your answer to be 564 months!

I am puzzled by why it seems to give so much weight to the nsaid question. crazy2

I'm one of the ones that was told only men have AS. Took me a year after that before I found my current rheumy and began treatment.

OK guys (an dolls!! <LOL>) - Here's an idea. Write into the SAA and tell em. Tell em *exactly as you have written here, everything. Only way you'll/we'll get this nonsense stopped. Send em the EULAR monograph, then follow it up with the BASDAI test. Gotta stop em in their tracks. Only blokes, b...dy stoopid. About time the SAA came into 2010.

Hmmm... no surprise, it was a negative test for me. The only change I needed was to move "neck pain lasting for 3 months or longer" from no to yes. (It comes and goes in flares, and I'm not sure if it's ever lasted 3 months at once, but I'd say most months of the year, I still have neck pain.)

Alan, that's pretty funny that you were a negative though!

Great test they have there. I'm sure it was worth the hundreds of thousands of grant money they used on it. ha.

I just filled it in. As a 'makle' it came back as Positive. As a female it came back as...dada...Negative! One shakes one's head.

Anyways, I have written to em and told em *exactly what I thought of their so-called 'validated' test. A disgrace to the medical profession.

OK guys, get writing. We need to get this so called 'test' scrapped. It's a traversty.
