Cindy,
Ah, thanks.
I am thinking strongly about just going for a ride and not hunting. I am really uncertain about the walking thing. Yea it is cool here and rainy. But we all like it.

We are coming to Philadelphia in a few weeks to see the kids.
Always hectic, but lots of reading and teasing...

Any surgery scheduled?

Mathie,
Yes, I ride several times a week. Mostly just around town. I am having a bit of trouble reaching for things and braking, but I try and slow down early.
I am so glad that you have such a good support system!
That is cool, and a real blessing!

The story about my teens is that we adopted out two granddaughters when they were babies. Both parents were heavily into the drug lifestyle and if we didn't adopt them, they would have been given to strangers. They have changed our lives a lot, they keep us young. We homeschooled them until 8th grade when we witched to an independent studies program where they have classes in science, math and they joined the Academic Decathlon team. This has all worked out well for us and them. They are active in our church, they both teach or help out at our VBS, they have been dancing for 9-10 years. Summer, the oldest, will be graduating in June and Ashlee will graduate a year later.

If it were not for the girls we would just be a couple of old folks, they keep us busy and involved in our community.

Well Lon, no surgery on the schedule yet. Long story, my surgeon and I had a loooonnngggg talk last week with all the pros and cons. My AS and OA is constantly active and has caused too much bone and disc degeneration throughout my whole spine. So...... Surgery with both of these deseases active in my spine could cause a failure of the fusion. We decided to put it off until it gets to the point where I can't walk anymore at all.
Keep the joy my friend.
Have fun in Philly. Please travel safely.

Hi Lon

Sorry to hear about your latest health issues. I really admire your sense of humor through all you have been through. I am sure your sermons will be just as inspirational as always. If your posts start to ramble or you repeat yourself often maybe I'll start wondering about your sermons.

The air is crisp and cool here. The winesap apple tree is almost ready for harvest and the pumpkins on the new pumpkin plant are growing fast and will be turning orange soon.

Take Care

Dear Lon I send you big hugs and blessings . Always remember God is in control. I repeat this to myself those times life gets too hard to understand.
