My goodness.....I'm not sure we have the same issue Jolene. I've had a little discomfort now and then and naturally if you hit it just right, it can hurt badly for a short while but I've never had the degree of pain you are describing - maybe because of the AS issue that overshadow everything else. Unfortunately I am not aware of any PF specific forum.

Overall, I would suggest speaking more with your Doctor because what you are describing does not sound normal to me (after having this for so many years).

I don't understand your question "Have you been able to collect UE?" I don't know what UE is - can you give me the full name?

Hi Simplysouthern,

I want to thank you for your kindness and promptness in replying back to me.

UE is unemployment. I am so sorry I did not make that clear.
What is happening with me is.

The 2 fibroma/nodules on left of foot causes my ankle to swell. I was told the ankle situation is posterior tibial tendonitis.
I have read horror story's about PF. I had ultra sound 3 months ago to deteermine the size. I have been applying verapamil 15% gel as directed. I go for another ultra sound June 25 to see if this is working
Hope your having a great weekend.I have spent mine watching TV with leg elevated. extremely BORED

lol....okay.....totally went over my head. crazy I understand that I was eligible for UE but I never applied for it. Part of the saying, if I knew then what I know now. I never expected to have so many issues come up (I'm learning I came out of remission).

As far as PF, I really didn't research it much after I found out what it was and the doctor wasn't too concerned. Like my thinking, your case sounds so different than mine so not sure there isn't something different going on then what I have.

That certainly does look like what I have but perhaps the medicines I'm on for AS is silences most of the pain. If I push on them, it's a little tender but between the diclofenac and oxycodone, maybe that is why I'm not feeling too concerned with mine. No insurance - no surgery (for me....) so that's not an option for me.

Hello,
I have completed my 1st round of radiation for plantar fibromatosis a/k/a ledderhose disease. I flew to New Port Richie Florida for treatment. The protocol is
3gy x 5 days
8 week break then
3gy x 5 days
radiation has 80% chance to reduce the lump/fibroma and put it in remission for many years.
Today is 16 days after radiation treatment. I am walking with no pain. Not walking on the side of the foot any more. Ankle not swollen at the end of the day. From my research I understood it is best to tackle this at the early stage. I also understood there are 3 stages to fibroma
Clinical and pathologic studies have classified plantar fibromatosis into three stages:

1. proliferative = The first stage is described by cellular proliferation·
2. involutional = the second stage by nodule formation·
3. residual = the third stage by tissue contraction
