I kept with the laser treatment for about 10 weeks. It is a 2 hour drive each way to where I was getting it done. I do think it was helpful in combating pain in my thoracic region. It was just too much of a time commitment to keep at it. I think there is another laser center 75 minute drive that I may pursue here soon, as I did like the treatment.

I did my first ROLFing (google "rolfing") appointment a week ago, and while it nearly killed me (slight exaggeration) I recovered from it well, and want to keep at it. I hope to start around a practicioner for this about 45 minute drive away.

So that is the new alternative therapy I am seeking. It is a specialized fascia and muscle manipulation therapy.

My biggest issue is living with the damage already done overt the past 15 years. I have kyphosis due to spinal fusing, and it causes a strain on my body. Trying to prevent anymore kyphosis and hopefully correct it a little bit.

I'm now a KICK AS (and Kick IBD) success story!! After going low starch Paleo to heal my gut, I can now eat nearly all starches, grains & foods without inflammation, flare-ups, or pain. I used a modified SCD diet approach (minus dairy! plus cacao ♥). Cheers to healing & thriving again! I blog at http://www.forestandfauna.com/about/

My PT uses the laser in my treatment. I am really helped by her treatments in general so I suppose the laser adds to it. smile

Is your daughter continue to take low level laser therapy?. Is the treatment given by hand held device or else. I am trying to get info on this theraphy. I consulted a clinic on this. They inform that bone inflammation, tissue inflammation, nerve issue, degenerative issues with spine etc., can be addressed. I do not know the effectiveness of this theraphy. It appears not many people in this forum are aware about this theraphy. I am trying to get more info.

they (PT) used a cold laser on my wrist when I tore a ligament in it.

this was in addition to the ionophoresis and the ultrasound.

personally I think that the ultrasound and contrast baths did the most good so that's what I fall back on when I need extra help.

but we're all different, so worth trying everything and deciding for yourself jay.
