I have a Boston Scientific SCS. It is rechargeable via a small wireless puck that I wear in a belt for a few hours each week. Mine is an older one, I've heard that the new ones last a little longer, depends a lot on how you have it set. A friend has the Medtronic MRI compatible SCS and she gets about 2 weeks out of a charge with it..

Thanks. I just got contact information for a Medtronic Rep so I am going to ask them too, but it is nice to know how often people using the system have to charge verses the specs. It is also really nice to know that there are people in this group that are receiving relief from SCS.

Hey, my daughters pain doc just told us about the PSTIM he's starting to offer, and we're considering that over an implanted unit. There doesn't seem to be a lot on the net about them that isn't company sponsored, but he's already started the treatments for 2 patients (car accident victims), and we're seeing how it goes before deciding.
